Full-Stack Web Developer
I graduated from Columbia University in 2008 with an Economics-Mathematics degree. I recently decided to pursue a new career path, attending the Web Development Immersive program at General Assembly. After twelve grueling weeks of learning, studying, programming, and just plain thinking about code, I look forward to starting my new life as a full-stack web developer. In my downtime, I am a trivia fiend, an avid sports fan, a lover of science fiction and fantasy, a nut for sweets, a wordplay enthusiast, and a proponent of the Oxford comma. I also enjoy recursion. I also enjoy recursion.
Back End: Ruby, Ruby on Rails, RSpec, Sinatra, PostgreSQL
Front End: Javascript, JQuery, Jasmine, HTML, CSS
Additional Exposure: I have also worked with Ajax, Handlebars.js, Backbone.js, D3.js, Underscore.js, MongoDB, and Redis.
So Inclined, my first app, is designed to provide roller coaster enthusiasts with a way to track the coasters they've ridden. It uses the Gmaps4Rails API to show a map of the parks a user has visited.
G.I.T. It Together provides a visual summary of any GitHub user's account. Theodore Cleveland and I created G.I.T. It Together to allow for a better picture of programmers' open-source portfolio, giving insight into the languages they use and the projects on which they've worked.
